Ameni, the young Tunisian entrepreneur, started by telling the story of her transition from the medical field to business moving to the exciting description of her dream that turned into reality. “Every wardrobe is a fashion store.”, said Ameni.
She explained that her belief in that statement transformed a simple idea that she had planned and launched in only 5 days into a profitable business and one of the most prominent e-commerce websites in Tunisia. During the event, Ameni explained to the audience the way Dabchy.com, a website that enables women to sell and buy second-hand clothes online, opened the gates of opportunities for her.
Thanks to her project, the entrepreneur made it to Forbes’ « 30 under 30 » list and TechWomen 2018. Moreover, the shining star emphasized the fact that she has created a social network for fashion and a source of income for some women. After that, Hela, the moderator, invited the audience to ask questions.
They varied from challenges to trust and security, which enabled Ameni to share further details of her success story. She talked about launching, testing, hiring, customer journey, growth, monetization, and the different features the website offers, such as rapid services, free-return, and security. Everyone shared opinions, suggestions, and thoughts.
The young entrepreneur also told the audience about the educational role of her project, which has enlightened Tunisians about the possibility of online payment. The event then ended with a group selfie and some tasty treats.
